CameraRenter started in 2005 after Michael Cartwright attended a friend’s wedding.
His friend spent a lot of time and hundreds of dollars buying and developing 30
disposable cameras, and was only left with a few good pictures. With no easy way
to share the pictures, they ended up in a box in her closet. Looking back, she wished
that she had spent her money on a practical way of capturing and sharing the candid
moments of her wedding.
Michael Cartwright then partnered with Jonathan Bailor to come-up with a more reliable
and eco-friendly solution than using disposable cameras and CameraRenter
was born. CameraRenter, LLC. is Michael and Jonathan’s solution to this problem,
and they have cherished the opportunity ever since. While CameraRenter has been
praised by organizations such as The Seattle Times, the Association of Bridal Consultants
(ABC), the International Special Events Society (ISES), the National Association
